Drift Privacy Policy

Drift is a photo review and cleanup app. This policy describes the current MVP behavior.

Data We Access

Drift asks for access to your photo library so the app can show your own photos and videos for review.

Drift may ask for permission to make changes to your photo library when you choose to favorite or delete selected items.

Data We Store On Device

Drift stores local session information on your device, such as:

  • Items viewed
  • Items marked for deletion
  • Items favorited in the app
  • Basic local usage counts

This local data is used to keep your review session working and to show simple progress statistics.

Subscriptions

Drift Pro subscriptions are handled through Apple In-App Purchase and RevenueCat. RevenueCat may process purchase history that is not linked to your Drift account because Drift does not create accounts. This information is used to activate, restore, and manage subscription access.

Data We Do Not Collect In The MVP

The current MVP does not:

  • Create user accounts
  • Upload your photos or videos to a server
  • Sell personal data
  • Use third-party advertising SDKs
  • Track you across apps or websites
  • Share your photo library with other users
  • Upload photo location coordinates to a Drift server

Photo Deletion

Drift does not delete photos immediately when you swipe. Swiping left only marks an item for review. Before deletion, Drift shows a review screen and asks for native iOS confirmation.

Once confirmed, deletion is handled by Apple's photo library system. Deleted items may still be recoverable through the system Photos app's Recently Deleted album, depending on iOS behavior.

Favorites

When you double tap to favorite an item, Drift attempts to mark it as a favorite in your Apple Photos library. If the system request fails, Drift may keep the favorite state locally inside the app.

Children

Drift is not designed for children and does not include social features, ads, public profiles, or behavioral tracking in the MVP.

Changes

This policy may be updated as Drift adds features. Material changes should be reflected in the App Store privacy labels and in the published privacy policy.
